SmartLynx Airlines Becomes Latest Company to Sign onto GA Telesis Composite Repair Group SNAP Program
April 21, 2015 – Ft. Lauderdale, FL – GA Telesis Composite Repair Group (“CRG”) announced today that SmartLynx Airlines has signed onto and become its latest SNAP Customer. SmartLynx Airlines will not only be a part of GA Telesis’ Strategic Nacelle Access Program (“SNAP”), but it will also have 24/7/365 access to flight control surface and other structural pooled inventory to support Airbus A320 aircraft fleet operations. The agreement provides SmartLynx with access to a pool of serviceable thrust reversers, inlet and fan cowls and a variety of flight control surfaces for immediate exchange/loan.
“With SNAP in place, SmartLynx Airlines will be able to access the world’s largest independent pool of nacelles without any additional cost.” said David LeClair, Vice President of GA Telesis Composite Repair Group. “This fits perfectly in-line with our business of providing integrated aviation solutions and our mission of ensuring customer success,” he added.
“We are excited to work with GA Telesis and enjoy the benefits of geographically convenient inventory pools through their SNAP programs,” said Mr. Thorir Kristinsson, Member of the Board and Vice president Technical of SmartLynx Airlines. “Our agreement gives us the security and economics of having easy access to nacelles and flight controls to support our fleet”.
SNAP was launched by GA Telesis CRG in 2012 to support airlines worldwide with a solutions-based approach to manage airlines’ nacelle and flight control needs. The SNAP program provides immediate access to airlines operating all Airbus and Boeing (inclusive of Douglas) with access to GA Telesis’ existing inventory of nacelles and flight controls combined with its expert repair and overhaul business. GA Telesis currently maintains the world’s most comprehensive and independent ready-to-go inventory of nacelles and flight controls. The pool has multiple access points in North America, South America, Europe and China and has 24/7/365 dispatch capabilities. In addition to immediate nacelle access, airline customers are provided immediate cost savings through fixed-rate, menu-driven, repair programs that are custom tailored to each airlines specific maintenance program.
Smartlynx Airlines Ltd. is the European Union’s biggest provider of ACMI (Aircraft-Crew-Maintenance-Insurance) services on A320 family aircraft. SmartLynx Airlines is also the biggest charter airline in the Baltics; bringing more than half of Baltic leisure travelers to sunshine destinations at Mediterranean resorts.
