December 1, 2021 – Fort Lauderdale, Florida – GA Telesis, LLC (“GAT”) announces another expansion to their inventory of Used Serviceable Material (“USM”) with the disassembly of one Pratt & Whitney PW4168 and one Pratt & Whitney PW4056-3 engine. In addition, over 30 of the popular Honeywell GTCP131 and GTCP331 Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) models will be disassembled over the coming months. GAT’s Component Solutions team will manage the distribution of the USM from these asset teardowns, building on their reputation as the world’s leading independent aftermarket used serviceable material supplier.
The Component Solutions team, part of the Flight Solutions Group (“FSG”), has scheduled a record number of engine and airframe teardowns in 2022 and beyond. With significant changes in airline and leasing companies’ upcoming asset and material needs, coupled with large numbers of scheduled new aircraft deliveries, FSG is well placed to continue its leadership position in the teardown and USM segment for years to come.
“Our customers have voiced their concerns over supply chain issues that are upcoming in 2022, and we have quickly answered that call,” said Jason Reed, President of the Flight Solutions Group. “With our strong global sales team presence, infrastructure, tooling, logistics support, and most importantly, our capital availability, we have efficiently ramped-up an even greater portfolio of product availability and will continue to do so for the next 24 months. As a result, we clearly are ahead of the curve to support the rebound of the aviation sector in the months to come,” added Reed.
The Component Solutions team will strategically position the upcoming USM in its distribution centers in the US and the UK, with further expansion planned in the Asia Pacific region in the year to come.
