GA Telesis CRGSE Expands Electric Power Offerings to Include A320 APU

June 26, 2014 Miami, FL – GA Telesis Component Repair Group Southeast, LLC (“GAT CRGSE”) has upgraded its state-of-the-art Avtron Model K838AT-500 IDG/Starter Generator test stand for use on the A320 APU Starter Generator. Upgrades were made as part of a continuing initiative to expand the shop’s testing capabilities for power generating components. “The flexibility of our Avtron test stand allows quick and easy set up for virtually any IDG or Generator in operation today,” said Nicholas Gimbel, Engineering Manager for GAT CRGSE. “With the addition of various adapters, harnesses and software upgrades we can easily add repair/overhaul capability to test new product more efficiently and with greater precision,” he added.
Bill Wierda, Vice President of Sales for GA Telesis’s MRO Business Units Americas stated, “The A320 APU generator is just one of many recent additions to our growing capabilities. As summer approaches, the demand for reliable and efficient APU Generator repair and test capability is likely to rise. We are pleased to announce we have added starter generator capabilities for part numbers BA03604 and 5913667-x used on APUs for the A320 family of aircraft.” He further said, “Offering this added repair capability in combination with on-the-shelf ready to go exchange units through our parent company GA Telesis, LLC, we can better support our growing customer base.”
